    Sufjan Stevens - Chicago

    In this song he talks about how people, after making mistakes, escape on highways to go make new parking lots and such. He’s got a huge number of friends with him on the disc including the Illinoisemaker choir, a string quartet, James McAllister on drums, Craig Montoro trumpeting and what sounds like a bunch of backup singers. He even recorded the piano at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Brooklyn. With that much love on a cd it’s no wonder it’s amazing.
